365 Manna

Daily bread for your soul

Psalm 23:4

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

David wrote as a shepherd who knew that dark valleys were part of the journey, not a detour. The key word is 'through.' You're not stuck there. And even in the worst stretch, God's presence provides both protection (the rod) and gentle guidance (the staff).

If you're in a dark season, don't rush to get out. Sometimes God does His deepest work in the valley. Today, lean into His presence right where you are. Journal, pray, or simply say, 'You're here with me, and that's enough for now.'
